It's truly alarming how many people have proclaimed themselves search engine experts lately. Everywhere you look someone is gonna get you in the top 10 or show you how to do it for a fee.
I've bought many of these books and have returned most of them, calling the author out on what he copied from someone else, or where he was flat wrong! I've always gotten my money back promptly.
